Welcome to our Green Key certified Conference Center
We have just been Green Key certified for the third consecutive year.
To achieve Green Key Certification, it requires meeting a series of stringent environmental criteria. We do, and we take pride in it.
We work with many aspects of sustainability. WTC Ballerup is a participant in the UN Global Compact – we commit to integrating principles, including environmental considerations, into our strategy and operations, contributing to the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Our specific focus lies on Goal 7 ‘Affordable and Clean Energy’ and Goal 12 ‘Responsible Consumption and Production.’
We continuously work on initiatives to make WTC Ballerup even more sustainable.
Our initiaives:
• Installation of a large solar panel system covering a significant share of the building’s consumption.
• Remaining electricity is certified environmentally friendly power
• Lights have been replaced with LED.
• Waste sorting throughout the building and in the canteen.
• Ongoing installation of additional charging stations for electric cars.
• Reduction of food waste through plated servings and waste sorting.
• Notepads and pencils in the Conference Centre are made from recycled materials and are FSC-certified, respectively.
• Biodiversity through sowing wildflowers in grassy areas and planters.
