Welcome to our Green Key certified Conference Center
We have just been Green Key certified for the third consecutive year.
To achieve Green Key Certification, it requires meeting a series of stringent environmental criteria. We do, and we take pride in it.
We work with many aspects of sustainability. WTC Ballerup is a participant in the UN Global Compact – we commit to integrating principles, including environmental considerations, into our strategy and operations, contributing to the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
Our specific focus lies on Goal 7 ‘Affordable and Clean Energy’ and Goal 12 ‘Responsible Consumption and Production.’
We continuously work on initiatives to make WTC Ballerup even more sustainable.
Our initiaives:
• Installation of a large solar panel system, covering most of the building’s energy consumption.
• The remaining power comes from certified environmentally friendly energy.
• LED lighting.
• Waste sorting throughout the offices and the restaurant.
• Ongoing installation of additional charging stations for electric cars.
• Reducing food waste through portion control and waste sorting.
• Blocks and pencils in the Conference Center are made from recycled materials and FSC certified, respectively.
• Biodiversity by sowing wildflowers in grass areas and planters.
